2005 Quilt Show - "Southern Comforts"

The 2005 Quilters by the Sea 23nd Annual Quilt Show was held June 24-26 in Wilmington, North Carolina at the Coastline Convention Center, 501 Nutt Street, in the historic district of Wilmington, North Carolina. The show featured approximately 200 pieces of quilt art, by both QBTS Guild members and other regional quilters. There was a skills showcase, a raffle quilt, several vendors of quilt-related items, a Guild booth, and, of course, quilts!

Challenge

The challenge was coordinated by Estie McClurg and Ann Millard. The theme was "Your Favorite Movie." Quilters were to make a quilt depicting their favorite movie. The guild then voted for their favorite. These quilts were hung together at the show so you can try to guess the names of the movies represented.

Special Exhibit

The show featured a special exhibit of quilts that have won the "Best of Show" award in previous shows.
